UNDERSTANDING POWER
"Understanding power is paramount if you intend to face it."
WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
First, let me talk about Power. Power is the ability to affect change. That change can be affecting policy, getting a new legal name, or putting gas in your car. Anytime you change the circumstances of the world, you exercise power. The greatest forms of power have the fewest consequences. For example, the ability to commit a crime without being charged.
When I'm discussing power here, I'm largely talking about enforceable power. Power that if challenged can be met with physical and material repercussions, such as the loss of freedom, the loss of property, or physical harm.
